Crawlers' Poetry - Gerardo Dirié
Crawlers' Poetry is an improvisation with CIM for WX7 and moxeño by Gerardo Dirié performed during the MuTech Underground series ‘Musician & Machine’ at the Queensland Conservatorium.
“When running my first trials with the CIM program I likened the contrived interaction to looking at insects crawling on a surface where some paint had been spilled: the emerging scribbles would invite our deducing messages or meanings where there was no such thing. Nonetheless, in the provocation to human creativity that this system proposes, I felt I could shift between many different roles, beyond the prescribed hypothetical duet. I've chosen to keep only a handful of the findings from that early experimentation for tonight's improvisation so as to allow for unforeseen pathways to occur.” - Gerardo Dirié
